Google Analytics Master Or Disaster QUIZ!
Here’s a 23 question quiz about Google Analytics. We used it in the past as part of our recruiting process for new analysts (minus the gamification of course). In our early days, we used the Google Analytics Individual Qualification test, but we’ve found it far too easy, and some questions that do not reflect a real understanding of Google Analytics. Today, we have more than 80 questions, covering common implementation scenarios, A/B testing what-if’s, Google Tag Manager questions, and more.
Below, you have the Google Analytics part so give it a shot, choose the best answer, and good luck!
"Offline Conversion" means:
Google Ads shows 50 clicks, while Google Analytics shows 30 sessions.
Which of the following features can help you analyze site search activity?
Organic traffic means

You're running an e-commerce website. You have several agencies running your ads on different platforms. Somehow, the numbers of conversions given by these agencies do not sum right. Which feature can help you sort things out?
Each agency or ad network might have its own attribution modeling (first click, last click..). But Google Analytics which combines all of them uses last-click as default. You can use Attribution Modeling in order to play with different models other than last-click.
Someone visits your Magazine website using his desktop browser. After 7 minutes, he leaves his desk and continued reading the article on his mobile. How Google Analytics handle this scenario?
By default, since it's a different device, it is considered as a different user. You can help Google unify these 'users' using several approaches.
A visitor subscribed to your mailing list twice, at 10:00 am and 10:21 am on the same day. How many conversions you'll see?
"Goal" or "Conversion" is a unique per-session metric. Since both conversions occurred during the same session, Google Analytics treats them as one.
You have an e-commerce website. You want to grant your marketing agency a limited access to Google Analytics, so they see only Google Ads traffic data. What should you do?
You published a link on twitter. 50 followers clicked the link at once. 50% of them spent one minute and the rest spent 10 minutes. All of them left the site right after. What is the Avg. session duration for that group of visitors?
Since there's no second page or event to any of the visitors, Google Analytics can't calculate the time spending the first page, hence, session duration is zero.
